Create a better world for children and families in need… continue a legacy of giving beyond our lifetimes… make a difference in the lives of people we will never know.
These thoughts motivated Glenn and Andrea Sonnenberg to include Wayfinder in their estate plans. By making a planned gift, the Sonnenbergs joined the roughly 140 members of our Legacy Society who have pledged both smaller and larger amounts to Wayfinder in their wills or trusts. Every bequest of any size is a significant investment in a better world.
Making a planned gift can be as easy as adding a sentence in your will or making Wayfinder a beneficiary of your retirement account or life insurance policy.
“Organizations like Wayfinder are serving people who are often forgotten,” says Glenn, a member of Wayfinder’s Board of Directors. “People who are blind or disabled or who have mental health issues require nurturing and care. Wayfinder is doing work that other organizations don’t do.”
The Sonnenbergs know it is important to invest in the future of the families who are our neighbors. They want to inspire others in our community to do the same. “I think our bequest will remind future generations that there were people before them who cared,” Glenn says. “I see what people from the past have done for Wayfinder. It is inspiring.”
