Dear Friends,
I will be retiring at the end of June 2023 after 17 rewarding years leading Wayfinder Family Services and a total of 31 years as a nonprofit CEO.
This was a decision that I made several years ago, and I worked with our board of directors to ensure a smooth, seamless transition. While I don’t know all retirement will hold, spending more time with my family and traveling are at the top of my list. Also, I am committed to continuing my family’s tradition of volunteering to assist those in need.
Furthering Wayfinder’s mission has been one of the greatest joys in my life. Our comprehensive programs and services reach more children, youth and families today than ever before and create lasting change in their lives. The staff at Wayfinder are truly the best, and they live out our values every day.
The board of directors conducted a thorough search and, to my great pleasure, selected Jay Allen to be the next CEO, effective July 1, 2023. As you may know, Jay has dedicated more than 20 years to Wayfinder, joining in 2000 as vice president of programs. He currently is Wayfinder’s president, overseeing the operations of Wayfinder programs and services. Jay leads with heart and integrity, and I am thrilled that someone with his vision and commitment will steer Wayfinder into the organization’s next phase.
I invite you to get to know Jay. He is an extraordinary man and one who has already built a lasting legacy at Wayfinder. I asked Jay a few questions … read the Q & A with Jay Allen.
Warmly,
Miki Jordan
