Fernando Almodovar Joins Wayfinder as Chief Financial Officer

Los Angeles, CA – Wayfinder Family Services recently announced that Fernando Almodovar has joined the organization as chief financial officer. Wayfinder is a statewide nonprofit organization that served nearly 20,000 individuals in 53 counties in California last year. Nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation, Wayfinder serves children, youth and adults with disabilities, including vision impairment, as well as children, youth and families in the child welfare system.

Almodovar brings over 25 years of experience in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors and will oversee finance and accounting at Wayfinder. Prior to joining Wayfinder, he was the chief financial officer for Child360. Before that, he served as chief financial officer and chief operating officer at Hispanic Scholarship Fund. Fernando’s private sector experience includes leadership at a subsidiary of Home Depot as well as audit and finance positions at Mattel. He is bilingual and his previous work has taken him to Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile and Argentina.

Fernando is a Certified Public Accountant in California. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from California State University, Fullerton and a master’s in business administration from Loyola Marymount University, with a concentration in finance with an international certification. He also serves as chairman of the board at the South Central Family Health Center.
